An easy and fun mod, personally this is how they should have come from the factory. Slightly better visibility, Cleaner look Less damage to back glass as wipers can't catch and drag grit and sand as they move up. Without rushing, this is a 45 minute project. Good project for beginners.

Dissecting a VW Combi valve off a 2.5 VW - 2013 New Beetle. P0491
Просмотров 8852 года назад
The car had coded a P0491 SAI (Combi valve) code - low flow. I initially diagnosed the sensor and hose as a failure. The flow sensor was covered with water, the code occurred during freezing weather. So I swapped out the hose (there is an updated hose and sensor). Cleared codes, code came back. Checked Combi valve, applied 12volts to the Combi valve solenoid, no motion. Verified with an active ...
Removing a stuck compression test adapter

Ever have to use a non ferrous (brass) engine plug/thread adapter for a compression test? You know, the kind that screws onto the tester hose, then the adapter falls off as you unscrew the hose to move onto the next cylinder. Leaving you with a not only a useless cylinder head, but also a non functional compression tester. You think, Ah, I can use a magnet - nope. Modify a screwdriver, tap it i...

Is it the end of the world or a cheap fix? Watch this video on how to inspect and check your drive belt system. To change the belt, I did not need a special tool. I used a 30mm combination wrench,. I did not take anything "apart" on the car or belt system to do this. I did need the help of another person to lock the tensioner while I moved the wrench. I got to the tensioner as shown in the vide...

"Restoration" Pachinko Ginza Machine - Part I.
Thanks for posting this. I thought my 2013 R56 N18 w/ 73,000km was having the dreaded timing chain sounds but ended up being the serp belt being worn out. Easy DIY!😢
Dude, you’re a lifesaver. That was exactly what was wrong with mine. Thank you so much.
Thanks man big help
Thanks for sharing, this fixed my problem :) Didn't know that light was a service indicator for brake pads. I had been changing the brake pads but not reseting the counter on the car's computer :)
Great video, thanks for sharing. Like everyone said the the last part about the oil tip was the best. Doing the mod on my wife club(I wonder if she will notice) hahaha.
Thanks!... It's a wonder that lever lasts any time at all being made of soft metal. Thread locker is a great idea too.
won't the wheel hub and wheel bearing be damaged by the strong impact?
Not that strong of an impact. Never had a wheel bearing failure from this. The force is too linear to the axle. Now if you hit it, off center - WAY off center like a tire sliding into a curb - boom!
Replacing a 20+ year-old cheapie gas mower because my old knees just don't like pushing it up the hill any more. I am a Makita guy but this Ryobi has the fold away storage that far better fits my over-stuffed storage shed than any of the self-propelled Maks. The fact it is cheaper is a bonus. Will likely pull the trigger in the next day or two. Thanks for the helpful video.
Good luck, the fact that Ryobi still makes the same model today is a good sign its a solid design. Mine is still going strong this year on the original batteries. Its a blessing using it, your knees, ears and body will thank you. You don't feel beat up after mowing.
@@danjreed After seeing a video where the SP feature failed and the drive motor is rated for only 200 hours, I had second thoughts. Decided on the Milwaukee. It is presently enroute. Hope it works out for me.
@@terrydanks Oh ouch, where did you read about the 200 hours rating? The Milwaukee unit is nice, but twice the price!
@@danjreed Not sure youtube will allow me to post a link? But the video where he discusses this is at ruclips.net/video/k-e4MGzSQkA/видео.html The reviewer is B&Z Reviews. The video is entitled "DON'T BUY a Ryobi 40V Self Propelled Mower.." and was posted a year ago. His self-propelled function died on him and, according to him, this is not an uncommon failure. He shows the documentation rating the SP motor for 200 hours. Yes, the Milwaukee is $$$ but it has what I want, i.e., very powerful as I have need sometimes to use the mower in what could be termed "abuse." Has the fold-up feature too. Glad you remain happy with your Ryobi. I might well have been as well, but, if the SP feature fails, I might as well have stuck with my old gas mower which is still going strong after 21 years.
@@terrydanks @terrydanks I did watch it, thanks, that said the mower has a 5 year warranty - Which is better than many gas units. I guess time will tell! Thanks for the info, glad I know what to look for if a problem happens.
Dang so the mirror just pops out ! I have to replace my side mirror too
2 years ago and this video still doing the amazing work thank you helped us out
Finally found DIY video thay actually is very helpful on cleaning and maintaining car sunroof 😊
Yes!! Thank you! One of our delivery trucks is a maverick and we could not figure out why the sound wasn't engaging, but the soft reset worked 🙏
This is what makes RUclips RUclips “That’s the good stuff”

This worked like a charm! Thanks man!
Im glad there are people online doing this shit so I dont have to 😂
I like the mower. I have lots of trouble with gas powered anything, so this seemed like a better mower for me to buy. The only difficult problem I have is that it takes more than 2 batteries use to cut my lawn. So, if I try to recharge one battery after use the battery has to cool down before it will recharge. So that means I have to stop mowing and plug in the cooled down battery to charge. That is my only complaint that I really have.
How does this even happen? Mine got stuck and I barely tightened it
Just bad luck. LOL. It happens.
Life saver 😄
I wish we had quicksave buttons in real life so we can try it ourselfs. But lucky enough we have youtube
do the battery have a BMS?
Of course they do.
Does this make a big difference in eliminating blind spots.
Enough of a difference that I wish I could install these on my new Ford Truck. Yes, very worthwhile.
Thank you for that clear explanation!
Thanks man, i tried pushing the pawl in sideways and that worked great
How do you connect the battery?!?
At the electrical ports at the top. You'll see two or three "knobs". It's just 9V DC, polarity doesn't matter.
Could this problem bring the yellow motor light on too? I am not sure but I think I have the same problem with mine. Also, I feel it doesn't have he same speed. Thank you in advance 1:41 1:41
Is anyone in New Jersey and can help me with this??
Love the repurposing of the m12 chargers. I have so many as well ive been building my own bundles when i gift or sell m12 tools. Also, recently started using the m12 heated jacket adapter as a memory saver as well. I have an obd II adapter from a snap on lithium ion compact jumper pack that attaches to the adapter for the jacket output. Works better with the larger 3Ah or above batteries. However, i've also been able to repurpose the partial life time exhausted m12 batteries that are beyond the warranty period.
Thank you so much I hope this will work on my car. Me and my grandpa are having a hard time getting it off
My R56 was making a peculiar sound for some time. After watching this helpful video, I decided to replace the serpentine belt, water pump pulley, and friction wheel. As I was uninstalling the old, damaged friction wheel, I noticed that the pull tab, shown at minute 1:39 in the video, was barely budging and seemed stuck. With a bit of effort, I managed to free the pull tab. tried to start the car again, to my relief, the sound was gone. It dawned on me that the issue was with the stuck pull tab preventing proper water flow to the engine once it reached a certain temperature. By resolving this, I essentially fixed the problem at no cost. Hopefully, this experience can assist others facing similar issues.BTW thanks for this video
Well i have same issue on my r56 S and i will check on this weekend. lets see what gives.
I bought mine because I am unable to use my left arm after an aneurysm, so this has a pusg button to get the plades started, and is light enough and has the self propell function to allow me to push it with my right hand and when there becomes a tough spot, i can use the self propell function to get over the tough spot and back to pushing again, which helps me to regain my function with practice... I too got sick and tired of the gas mowers always having some sort of problem every time my wife wanted to get some yardwork done and because im not fully functional to fix things, i decided to go electric with Ryobi which I've been using their tools for decades...
Will this work with 2 hamburger patties?
Frozen, yes, Thawed no. I prefer to use dry ice to cool them into a solid.
I prefer to clean out the coarse dirt with a slightly damp microfiber towel works nice on my Rs3
Hello from croatia. Mine is at 26.2 thickness, and minimum is 26.4. Is it ok to use one more brake pads on it ?
Yes. I've heard as long as you're at least at minimum you can run 1 more set of pads.
Thank you so much was stuck on a rotor for 30 mins and here it just needed to be 30 seconds…
is anyone gonna realise that his house didnt explode during recording of this video
Nope! its because it was in my garage
@@danjreed i ate the batteries!11
Mr blue jay😂
Ooo shit 😲 I'll go to check my 207 it makes same sounding
207 has the same engine, I should add that to the search!
It's your choice but it could be helpful
Do you degrease first, then grease, then lubricate?
Yes
Now with that tensioner make a tap noise when you blip the throttle I’ve been wondering why my car is slow I had the scanner danner hooked up today and I was watching the advanced timing gradually accelerating it’s good but blip it you hear a tap and on the screen it pulls 10 - 15*
For the self-propelled feature, I see that there is a slider to set the "Max" speed. If you squeeze the propulsion bar slightly, does the mower just take off at the max speed or can you modulate its speed by how much pressure you apply to the self-propel control bar?
Its a solid state drive, so it "ramps" up to speed (quickly), it won't do a burnout unless you hold it back. If you push part way down, its like a gas pedal and will only creep. So yes, fully variable.
Mine quit less than a year old garbage! 73
Sounds like its something that is handed by warranty.
@@danjreed I sure hope so. I priced the motor and controller cheaper to buy another mower which I won't. I'm glad I didn't buy the second mower. I'm going back to gasoline. Or I might try a 12 volt motor on an old housing and use my li on battery. 73

Most people chunk the batteries in the trash so they're not recycled, but I don't blame anyone for not wanting to hassle with gas and oil and eventual carbs gunking up with trash.
Can you do this mod with an f55 cooper s ?
Not sure, but I suspect knowing Mini its the same design.
